Lombardo Diamond Core Drilling Company provided two door enlargements on the 1st floor elevation, the overall concrete depth was 36” thick.
Due to the thickness of the concrete material and the overall size of the opening with no over cutting of structural steel allowed, we chose to wire saw for this particular application by coring two 1” diameter holes at the top and bottom of the proposed door enlargements and then continued to run our diamond wire sawing process to create the precise finished wall opening.
The 36” thick concrete shear wall panels were then broke in place and processed for the recycling facility.
